The Canes are handmade by Peter Bowles & Anne Clifton whom together have been making canes for 12 years.
They are made from Gaffer colour (NZ) together with Gaffer clear that is cooked in Glass Manifesto's furnace for smooth consistencies.
The Canes are used often in Glass Manifesto's artwork and are now made available to the general public to use in their own artwork on a smaller scale.
Glass Manifesto Canes are made from 96 COE
and with an annealing temp of 485-500 degrees Celsius.
Due to the fact that these canes are handmade/handpulled, the diameter of Glass Canes varies between 5-10mm and the twists and colour intensity will vary as well.
Glass Manifesto Canes are compatible with Gaffer or System 96 Glass range.
For easy and straight clean cuts, Pearl's Creations uses the Carbide Glass Cutters (#CarbGC) to cut these canes to required lengths.
